Assistant Hub ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account we collect:

• Username and display name — to identify your account
• Email address — for account management and communication
• Password — stored as a salted hash (never in plain text)

When you use the app we may collect:

• Chat messages — sent to third-party AI providers (Gemini, Grok) to generate responses. Messages are not permanently stored by us.
• API keys — if you add your own provider keys in Settings, they are stored encrypted on our servers.
• Usage data — message counts per day to enforce tier limits.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the Assistant Hub service
• To authenticate you and enforce tier limits
• To process payments for tier upgrades (via BANKR/USDC on Base)
• To contact you about your account if necessary

3. Third-Party Services

Your chat messages are processed by third-party AI providers depending on the model you select:

• Google Gemini — Google Privacy Policy
• Grok (xAI) — xAI Privacy Policy
• Ollama (local) — runs on your own machine; no data leaves your device

Crypto price data is fetched from CoinGecko. Payments are processed on the Base blockchain via BANKR.

4. Data Storage

Account data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with a unique salt per user. API keys are stored server-side. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
